Wow Bao - SLC Airport: Reviews & Ratings

I'm torn. While legit soup dumplings are one of my favorite foods, what you get from Wow Bao is certainly not at that caliber. However, if you consider that this place is fast food, I think people are being overly harsh. No, this is not what you'd find at a local place on the coast, but for an inland fast food joint in the middle of an Asian food desert where you can't hardly even find the real thing, this is a perfectly acceptable alternative. I'm not sure if it's just the airport location, but my wife and I recently spent over $50 here. Completely outrageous for two people eating fast food, but I'll chalk that up to the airport and ordering a little more food than we could eat. I feel like the biggest discrepancy is the value. They need to either bring the prices down, the food quality up, or both. As is, you're getting fast food for table-serve prices. But again, I also paid $6 for a small bottle of water a few doors down, so it might just be victim to airport pricing at this location. I'll definitely be back. Not because it's as good as the real thing, but because it's an acceptable fast food alternative in an area of the country you can't even get the real thing.

I’m leaving a positive review because I’ve only ordered the same thing from here every other day of the week & it’s always up to my expectations. My favorite thing to buy from here is the fried dumplings and potstickers & the Thai iced tea drink. I recommend if you order the Thai iced tea order it without the ice because the drink is already cold & plus half your cup would be filled with mostly ice. Located next to gate A28, across from gate. A31

Not sure what all the fuss is about… This is a fast food place. At an airport. It’s exactly what it needed to be flavor/quality-wise, and service was quick and accurate when we ordered. Prices are very clearly displayed, and are set at outside-the-airport market-rate, as is the case for all restaurants in the SLC airport. There are definitely cheaper options in Terminal A, but not by *that* much. Would I go back? Absolutely - it’s a nice change of pace from typical airport fare, even if a bit pricier than a burger or sandwich. Would I expect sit-down restaurant quality bao buns or fried rice? Get real…

Wow Bao offers delicious bao, pot stickers, rice bowls, oatmeal, and more to meet travelers needs. The bao bun six-pack was enough to tide over two hungry travelers without feeling stuffed. Bao bun had ideal texture. Add a little chili sauce for more punch, and these buns are the perfect fuel ticket. Service was friendly, and buns were served up very quickly!

Good quick food for airport food. Better than a greasy burger or bad pizza. $7.99 for two is quite steep but airport prices are in full effect. Friendly staff on my visit.

Food is better than I expected! I ordered the 2pack-teriyaki chicken and spicy Mongolian beef. Both are good! You can only order to go, no tables there.
